design reaction have successfully secured a new project to get their teeth into, this time a website redesign for a local care home in Penybanc just on the outskirts of Ammanford.
Based in Penybanc, Ammanford, there aren’t that many businesses in the close area for me to work on, so I decided to use the cold calling tactic to contact the local companies to offer my design services at a very competitive rate. Luckily, I had a good reply with 50% of my contacts returning my message, with this website redesign for Cartref-Ael-Y-Bryn run by Barleybind Ltd being the first to be signed off and to start working on.
Cartref-Ael-Y-Bryn in Penybanc, Ammanford, is one of two Care Homes in South Wales run by Barleybind Ltd, and once they received my offer, they got in touch and invited me down for a meeting to discuss work. The client is looking to have their website redesigned to move along with their expansion plan. Earlier in 2011, Barleybind Ltd opened a second care home in Llanelli called Cilymaenllwyd near Pwll, and will hopefully expand in the near future.
As the company have been running for a few years now, the website will have to blend in with marketing material already in place, but the client would like to modernize the site and give a welcoming feel. Needless to say, the site will be built with a CMS system in place, so it won’t be a struggle to update along with the growth of the business.
The project has only begun, so custom designed comps will be sent to the client in the coming week, and hopefully the site will be built and complete within a couple of weeks. The client requires a google map to point out locations of all care homes and a secure contact form. As with all design reaction sites, I will provide basic onsite SEO, this means that the site will be optimized for search engines that will include title tags, description tags and meta keyword tags, image title and alt tags, correct use of ‘h’ tags, html and CSS valid code to w3c standards. The site will also be submitted to the top search engines and online local directories.
Check design reactions portfolio pages in a couple of weeks to see the final product.
