Design reaction have recently been asked if it’s possible to set up a custom Facebook fan page design promoting multiple fundraising events to raise money for two charities in a build up to the main event, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in October 2011!
Well yes, it is possible, and design reaction have accepted the challenge to create a custom design Facebook fan page that will link through to the main site so the client can promote fundraisers for their two selected charities, Ataxia UK and Cancer Research UK.
The site will provide visitors with information and an itinerary of the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, a list of upcoming fundraisers to fully promote each event through the use of social media marketing, and a blog section to provide donors with information prior to and post charity events as well as updated news during the 7 day trek in Africa.
The client will be using Just Giving to manage the donation payments, so the Facebook fan page will display a ‘Total so far’ block along with a link through to the Just Giving donation page so that potential donors can make an online payment to the charity of their choice.
